The Queensland Art Gallery which was earlier called Queensland Cultural Centre is situated near Brisbane River in South Bank. The philosophy behind the gallery is connecting people and arts. The Queensland Art gallery is symbol of cultural and artistic development and has various qualities and many attractions that encourage people for visiting many collections. They opened the gallery during the year 1985. Earlier to History, the gallery housed a sequence of temporary premises and did not have any permanent home till they launched the present building in South Bank of Brisbane in the year 1982.
The Queensland Art Gallery was regarded as the most famous building during its time and it used some of the best materials and techniques which were available with economic limits of project. It was the 1st building that was built in South Side of adjacent river for new Victoria Bridge and was established as benchmark scale with many future buildings. Read the rest of this entry »
